You are now entering the world of my thoughts.

This blog is my diary of works in progress. The only way a writer can improve upon her skill is to practice, practice and practice some more. Here, in this place of quiet peace, I pen to paper my thoughts and creativity. Welcome to my world.

The Sahabeeyeen

A Novel by SN Taylor

(in revision)

In a dark future, Islam has spread far and wide throughout the galaxies as the last free muslims escape a deadly invasion of a destructive alien race. Chased from galaxy to galaxy, partial amounts of the ancient knowledge and religion is left behind by the fleeing Muslims. But that is not all they leave behind on the planets they visit. DNA. Not just any dna, but that of descendants of the companions of the ancient prophet of the Muslims, Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings upon him.) After centuries of occupation and enslavement, a group of brave soldiers return to Earth to reclaim an ancient Muslim relic, the Black Stone, which the aliens use as a power source. Their mission falls short of a victory when the entire team is killed leaving only one young soldier, Shayhu, alive and with only a small portion of the stone. He narrowly escapes through a wormhole that launches him into the deepest reaches of a distant galaxy. Shayhu decides to gather another army to return to Earth. But this time, it would consist of a legendary group of fighters. His people called them, the Sahabeeyeen, descendants of the early Muslim travelers who carried the ancient DNA of the Sahabi. With the help of the small portion of  the black stone acquired during the botched raid, Shayhu sets off on a dangerous journey in an unknown galaxy to find a people that are known only in bedtime stories and folk tales.

The Protected Bloodlines
a novel by SN Taylor
(work in progress)
In the previous book, "The Sahabeeyeen," with the help of the sacred relic, the black stone, Shayhu embarks on a mission to gather a small band of humanoids, only known in tales and legends, who carry the ancient DNA of the Sahabi. Soon he amasses a small, eclectic group of warriors and a massive warship. He learns that two of them are descendants of protected bloodlines that the Shapeshifters, the Mat'hool, have vowed to guard and protect. There are four in all. It is revealed to the sahabeeyeen that all four bloodlines are needed in order to complete their mission successfully.

In "The Protected Bloodlines," the race is on to find the last two protected bloodlines before Salul, a renegade scientist bent on eradicating the protected bloodlines, the Sahabeeyeen and creating a race of reptilian soldiers to take over all human-oid planets, including ancient earth, gets to them first. A murdered Mat'hool is found in a dark hidden compartment deep in the bowels of the Hablas, but not before she passes on an important and desperate warning to Uma thus revealing a sinister plot threatening to stop the Sahabeeyeen and their mission, a plot that smells of an ancient nature. After narrowly escaping Salul, who seems to appear where ever they go, and the disappearance of Uma's cousins, a traitor is discovered. Shayhu has to decide whether to continue on with their mission or return to Jeyydan to help Uma's planet now besieged by Salul and his DNA manipulating device. While there appears to be no way to recover, they receive help and a possible cure to Salul's DNA manipulating machine, also known as "the curse" from a very unlikely source.

Relationships will be tested, boundaries will be crossed and lives will be betrayed, but the Sahabeeyeen will have to beat the odds in order to find and save the last two bloodlines before they are destroyed along with the chance to save earth and reclaim Makkah from the invading aliens who still wreak havoc in Shayhu's  universe.
