National Marrow society.

My sister in October 2000 was diagnosed with stage 4 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. She went through chemo and then radiation because of the cancer coming back and in August 2001 she received a bone marrow transplant.

She is alive now because of a kind person donating bone marrow.

I would love to have $10 donated to a local charity of mine, E.P.I.C. (www.epic-wv-autism.org/).

It's a charity to spread Autism Awareness and improve the lives of children in our area with autism. Last year they paid for aides for some of our kids to go to day camps and gave each child one free camp!

I'd love for the donation to go to St. Jude's.

I think they do amazing work and completely agree that NO child should EVER be turned away from treatment due to inability to pay.

Thanks for the chance to help this amazing cause! Great giveaway! =)

If its worldwide, I'd go for one in Sri Lanka preferably the orphanage I work with locally. If it is restricted to the US I'd go with anyone who works with children.

Alley Cat Allies
http://www.alleycat.org/

Alley Cat Allies informs about and advocates for feral cats, and against euthanasia and other forms of killing cats who live outside. So many people don't understand that if you find a clearly deral cat living outside, you should NOT take it to a shelter! It wil not be adopted and will be killed. You can try to socialize the cat, feed it, give it shelter and definitely get it neutered (which the organization also helps with), but taking it to a shelter will not be helpful.

The organization also challenges heartless city leaders who kill cats who live outdoors, rather than neutering them, in the misguided belief that it will control the cat populations. Also, it informs people that disappearance of birds is NOT due to outside cats, but to pollution, urban sprawl and other habitat destruction.

Salvation Army
I personally know two officers in the SA. Through them and their Christian background the charity has become special to me. The Salvation Army performs social services, like community care, disaster relief, adult rehabilitation, combating human trafficking, and elderly services.

All the charities listed are awesome and deserve the donation you will give the winner. This is an amazing idea. I love it.

I'd love if you would make a donation to a local woman with a heart of gold. She runs a not-for-profit cat rescue group. She has such a big heart, and she takes care of feral cat colonies and tries to rescue the ones that can be socialized and adopted. A remarkable woman! There aren't enough like her in this world :)

Her website is here:

I would choose to donate to the Susan G. Koman institute. This is an institution that raises money for breast cancer awareness and research. My grandmother battled breast cancer for 18 years before the disease took her from us. Two other women who at one time were second mothers to me have battled it and are currently in remission.

I actually like Clouded Leopards or Whale Conservation Organizations but am not sure whether that can be done.

If not, maybe World Vision? Since I have worked and volunteered there before and I know for SURE that they have it in US.

Thanks for helping more than just 1 person!
