You are now entering the world of my thoughts.

This blog is my diary of works in progress. The only way a writer can improve upon her skill is to practice, practice and practice some more. Here, in this place of quiet peace, I pen to paper my thoughts and creativity. Welcome to my world.

Warm Fuzzies Blog Fest 2011 #2 Guess my WIP! :D

It’s Warm Fuzzy Time! This week it’s all about what inspires your WIPs? When I write, I like to listen to music. Most of the time it is music that has some sort of nature in the background. There have been a few songs with words that have moved my writing; usually the song was directly related to a certain scene. I rarely use art or photos for my novels, but they are vital for my flash fiction pieces. I also use them to help me out of writers block.

Here’s a list of some sound tracks I’m using for my current WIP.

Here are a few pics that kind of describe my WIP.

So, can you guess my WIP? :D (No cheating!!!!)

What do you look to when you write? What inspires you? How else do you use your creativity? Music? Pictures? Art?

Ooh...*rubs hands together* I think your WiP is about a dark plague that's hit the universe. Your MC is one of the only surviving astronauts out there and he stumbles upon a ship full of sick crew members, and he is the only one who can cure them of their illness. But will he do it before he catches the disease himself?

:)

Looks like you're writing sci-fi, awesome! I love to listen to music when I write and finding great photos that inspire me is a must too.

Sci-Fi, the last image creeps me a bit, although anything with aliens or life from outer space keeps me up at night. I'm wondering why only one of the chambers is occupied and the rest are empty...

Ooo- space travel!! That sounds/looks awesome :)

I find that music and art most often influence my writing. I kind of get stuck on a song or songs for a while and I know that somehow they're speaking something to me that will take root in a story. The same thing happens with art.
I couldn't seem to play the music, but judging by the pictures, I'm guessing your WIP is SciFi?

LOL! Cassie, your guess is hilarious! Would make a great story though! There is definitely space travel involved! ;)

Awesome! I really thought I had it though. Looks like I've got my next novel idea. ;)

Sci-fi maybe come cloning action going on but in a bad way. They are using the clones to take over the world...or no destroy the world so they can use all its resources for themselves.

Sci fi is definitely my first thought too. Very intriguing!

Ooooh, this looks like a good sci-fi/fantasy novel??? Reminds me of my current WIP. :) Great photos!

I'm definitely getting the sci-fi vibe. Maybe it's about a dying planet where the "people" are looking for a new home, so they put their genetically modified spawn on a spaceship bound for Earth, where they will discover that--OOPS!--it's already inhabited. Can the two worlds learn to coexist peacefully? And can Earth itself handle that many passengers? Only time (and your WIP) will tell. DUN DUN DUN.

How'd I do? ;)

There is a planet that is under attack, and they know they won't survive, so they send a few chosen off to start the species somewhere safe, or so they thought...

An epic space oddessy with quriky characters and strange planets!

Inhabitants of a dying planet travel to a new home across many galaxies only to encounter an alien resistance to their colonization efforts. Will they find a new home before their supplies run out, leaving them to starve to death in deep space?

Oh, I see that my response is close to Tasha's. So much for originality.

Long distance space travel finds meaning of life to be old fashioned vinyl record disc at the edge of the universe.

Cassie Mae at the top has eloquently described exactly what I would have guessed! Are we on the right track?

Instead of the crew being the survivors of a massive battle on their home planet, it's the other way around. Perhaps these devices hold the soldiers of an invasion army.

LOL! OMG I am loving all the guesses!!! I have to say:

Cassie Mae's was Most Creative

Deana and Tasha Seegmiller were really close :D Way to go ladies :D

Emma's was the most unique! That would be a fun idea to play around with. It could easily be a "Twilight Zone" episode! :D
